Comfort & Personal safety

The soft and silky surface of the material gives a comfortable feeling when in direct contact with the body. Our films have a natural breathability, meaning that water vapour can pass, giving increased comfort and dryer skin. Customers really appreciate this exceptional comfort. Breathability can be tailored if so required.

Sustainability

All our grades of film are based on renewable resources and certified to be compostable according to the European Standard EN13432 and US Standard ASTM D6400.

BioBag International technical films are EPD certified which gives you all the information needed if conducting your own LCA. Our products are based on renewable resources.

Mechanical properties

In general, the mechanical properties of BioBag technical films fall within the range of LDPE to HDPE, meaning that our films can be processed on standard converting lines without any major changes.

BioBag technical films can be printed upon and coloured with master batches without any pre-treatment.

BioBag technical films are approved for food contact according to the European Directive EC 2002/72

Our films have a good adhesion to paper and non-wovens which makes them suitable for lamination.

BioBag films are excellent barriers to oils and fats.

Skin irritations and reddening are less frequent and less severe with BioBag films.
We offer several grades of breathability, with WVTR ranging from 250 – 1200 gm/m²*24h based on 30µm.
BioBag technical films are biocompatible and non-cytotoxic; in other words proven to be fit for and not harmful to the skin.
Our films are certified to be a total biological barrier to virus and bacteria with maintained breathability!
